Next Steps for 10-year Housing & Homelessness Plan Update

Thank you to everyone who attended the feedback session at the Housing & Homelessness Advisory Committee meeting in September.

Approximately 30 members of the public attended and contributed meaningful feedback on the proposed goals for the draft Housing for all 10-year plan. Feedback included the desire for more information about what has taken place under the previous 10-year housing and homelessness plan, and the importance of evidence-based decisions which are an important component of the plan in development. Beam Group and staff also recorded detailed comments pertaining to the specific goals and priorities.

A draft of the 10-year plan will be presented to the Housing & Homelessness Advisory Committee on November 12.

Thank you for your ongoing interest as we develop this plan to guide local efforts to improve housing supply and affordability, prevent homelessness, and strengthen supports for vulnerable residents.
