Site work beginning the week of Oct. 20 at 38 Cowdy St.

We are reaching out today to remind neighbours near 38 Cowdy Street that site work will begin the week of Oct. 20. Environmental Contracting Services crews will be on site between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. as the property is prepared for demolition, and neighbours can expect to see and hear construction-related activity such as vehicles, equipment and workers entering and leaving the property.

As part of preparing the site, the City-supplied safety fencing currently installed will be replaced by fencing supplied by the contractor, and there will be period where they may be no perimeter fencing. We want to assure you that the site remains closed and will continue to be monitored for security purposes.

The City has asked the contractor to provide notice of any work that may need to occur outside of regular working hours. We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as this important work moves forward to support future enhancements to the former school site and parkland.
