Council Report

On Tuesday, Dec. 16, City staff presented an Asset Management Plan Update to City Council. The report covered three significant updates:

  • Natural Asset Management Plan, the City’s first, which recognizes natural systems as essential municipal infrastructure
  • 2025 Asset Management - Additional Information Report, which fulfills Phase 4 of Ontario Reg. 588/17 Asset Management Planning for Municipal Infrastructure by defining proposed Levels of Service (LOS), establishing performance measures , and preparing corresponding 10-year financial strategies for all municipal asset categories.
  • An updated Asset Management Policy (2025), which outlines how the City will manage its assets in a manner that supports sustainable service delivery, financial responsibility and community well-being

Council voted unanimously to adopt the reports as presented by City staff. For more information:
