Cranbrook St. Pedestrian Improvements - Transportation Network Improvements
The City is planning improvements on Cranbrook Street between Lakeview Avenue and Days Road. This project combines planned road resurfacing with upgrades designed to improve pedestrian access and neighbourhood safety.
As part of this project, the City will install new pedestrian infrastructure and make design adjustments that support safer travel for people walking, cycling and driving.
These improvements will also help support school-area travel and the City’s broader efforts to improve safety for students and families walking to school.

Installation of new concrete curb and gutter to narrow the roadway to 6 metres, helping support lower vehicle speeds
Maintaining a dedicated school bus pickup and drop off area
Construction of a new 2-metre sidewalk on the north side of Cranbrook Street to improve pedestrian access and connectivity
Improvements to pedestrian crossings at the intersection of Lakeview Avenue and Cranbrook Street
Road resurfacing on Cranbrook Street from Lakeview Avenue to Days Road

Construction will take place on Cranbrook Street between Lakeview Avenue and Days Road. Local traffic will be maintained during construction and no detours are currently planned.
