Art like beautiful bollards can provide both pragmatic and aesthetic benefits to everyone in the area, but especially to more vulnerable road users like people outside of cars

We would like to see a giant rubber duck placed in the community as a permanent art piece. We think this would be a great addition, so people who see it can smile and laugh!

    Limestone Sculpture/Seating

We would love to see a sculpture of a mermaid, made completely out of limestone. Surrounding the mermaid there can be "rocks" that act as options for seating. We would like to see a mermaid because they are pretty, and made out of limestone to represent Kingston.

Use parkland dedication to secure a route between nearby sites and the property, connecting from the Memorial Centre to KGH, enabling active transportation users of all ages and abilities to travel away from motor vehicles. (Example: UQTR through-campus linear park and trail)

    Pocket Park

    Pocket Park

This infographic was developed by the Williamsville Community Association. It is apparent with the large increase in our population that we do not have enough green spaces. We ask the city to purchase some land along Princess St. to create more parkland.

City should buy the lots on the NW corner Alfred & Princess for a new park. It’s already green & Williamsville has too few parks.

Take inspiration from Aldo van Eyck in Amsterdam, and make room for play!

The city is currently unfriendly to children, especially outside of the dispersed parks or schoolyards, so we need to be intentional in welcoming play /in/ the city. Lots of parks, lots of play streets, lots of physical traffic calming, and lots of bike parking are all needed, especially at key intersections like Princess St crossroads.
