Gardiners Road and Centennial Drive/Creekford Road intersection upgrade
The City will be upgrading the intersection of Gardiners Road and Centennial Drive/Creekford Road near Highway 401. This project will bring the intersection up to the standards required by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) for intersections locatednear a 400-series highway. Once the upgrade is completeCentennial Drive from Gardiners Road to Venture Drive will be opened in its entirety.
The intersection will remain open to traffic throughout construction. However, there will be speed and lane reductions or shifts to facilitatework. Current status: expect delays beginning April 7 while a contractor completes intersection widening, traffic signal upgrades and cycling and pedestrian improvements.

The majority of the construction on the intersection upgrade is expected to be complete by the end of November 2024.
Winter 2024/25 - Construction paused
Gardiners Road and Centennial Drive/Creekford Road intersection upgrade is currently at this stage
Work on the intersection has been paused for the winter and will resume early in the spring. The project is expected to be completed later in spring 2025.
