A new transit route connecting the Woodhaven neighbourhood and the Cataraqui Centre Transfer Point will begin in September 2022. This new route was identified in the 2017 – 2021 Transit Plan and will connect the residents of Woodhaven to the rest of the City’s transit network.

Beginning at the Cataraqui Centre the route travels along Midland Ave. and Cataraqui Woods Dr. before looping along Woodhaven Dr. Princess St. and Rosanna Ave. The route then travels out of the subdivision along Cataraqui Woods Dr. and Midland Ave.

I think this is a great idea, and honestly a bit delayed. The area has grown and continues to grow rapidly. Leaving so many options for those who unfortunately don't have a vehicle. I have had many many times, I've had to cancel due to not being able to reach the area unless on foot, or in a vehicle that I don't have. Thank you for considering the neighborhood, it will be greatly appreciated by bus users. Ps. I agree, it should extend to Westbrook. We have a bus that goes to Amherstview, so why not?!

I think there might be an issue going up Rosanna from Princess because there are usually cars parked on both sides of the road along that curve, including trucks, so I think a bus would have serious issues there. Maybe if it cut across evergreen that would be better! Also, there is a stop very close to my front yard, if there starts to be issues due to passengers (eg. Litter, walking on the yard) will the city try to do anything about it or will we be stuck?

Please consider extending this route to Westbrook. It continues to grow with many new houses and families moving in. As a regular rider I drive to Centre 70 park and ride daily to get to and from work and would like something closer to home.

Both route and schedule acceptable. This service extension will be most welcome for Woodhaven West residents. A traffic light at Princess and Rosanna would also be welcome.

We have lived here for 6 years. It would be greatly appreciated to have Bus Service in the Woodhaven Area. I see people walking down Princess Street from Woodhaven to get to Cataraqui Mall. There are no sidewalks, and it is extremely dangerous. As this area builds up, not everyone has a vehicle, and it would be very handy to have bus service. Even more important, SAFETY!!!

Makes good sense to provide for this under serviced area. I do wonder at the absolute numbers of buses departing from the Cat Centre every half hour - I used to live in one of the buildings along that route and 6+ buses every half hour causes some pretty extensive air and noise pollution for residents. If the stop sign across from the closed Sears store (not the 3 way one) was removed that would be a big help as the revving to start up the buses would happen less often.

I wonder why a route down Holden wasn't considered instead of Woodhaven Drive. The section of Woodhaven North of Evergreen is already difficult to navigate due to the higher density and lack of driveway parking. This stretch of road is narrow and there are usually cars parked on both sides of the street making it a virtual single-lane road. Anyone driving north on Woodhaven is already dealing with this problem and that's without busses heading down the street every 30 - 60 minutes. Also, Woodhaven Drive is already quite hazardous for pedestrians due to the volume and speed of traffic heading south towards the Princess intersection. Vehicles accelerate down this stretch of road as they attempt to make a green light for a left-hand turn on Princess. Adding more traffic to an already congested and busy street can only make things worse.

Just a thought, there are many health care workers in this neighbourhood. Many that start at 7 am. Is there a way to insure that by the bus route starting at 6 am that these healthcare workers will still be able to make it to work, with a transfer point at the mall to catch the 501/502. Are there bus stops on midland already? What about more stops along princess street from woodhaven to the mall ex. In front of rose and crown ? Some students/adults take the bus from woodhaven currently and have to walk to eggsquis/rose and crown to catch the 501/502 express.
Cat woods already has a few bus routes. Westbrook doesn’t have any, like us in Woodhaven.

It's a step in the roght direction but what is really needed is a route into Westbrook. There's been one for Amherstview for years, there should've been one for Westbrook all ready by now.

My partner lives in this neighbour hood and as someone without a car is has always been difficult to access their house. This route is very much needed and necessary. Also with the number of families in the subdivision teens would use it to access school and work and other adults who do not have more than one car per household. Very important route. I’m so glad it’s finally being proposed.

It would really help to have any sign of city bus in the woodhaven and Catraqui woods area as many people have to walk at least 15 min in harsh weather to get to any city bus. I am in support of this project and want to see it happen asap.

I don't know where the appropriate place to leave a hopeful recommendation is, but since Woodhaven is close enough to Westbrook I'll leave it here. It would be really appreciated to have a route in consideration that connects the Cataraqui Centre to the Westbrook area. Any kind of public transit route to connect to Westbrook. Thank you!
