Lions Civic Gardens

Illustration of pedestrians walking and rolling along a path with streetlights at night.

We’re working with Utilities Kingston to upgrade pathway lighting in Lions Civic Gardens. These upgrades will improve safety and accessibility for park users, which supports direction from City Council to improve pedestrian safety across the city. Learn about how we are making Kingston an easier and safer place for pedestrians to get around.

Project benefits

  • When the project is complete, these lighting upgrades will provide a well-lit path for park visitors.

Construction impacts

  • There will be minimal impact to users, however there will be some brief temporary closures along sections of the path when poles are being installed.

The work is taking place in two phases from February to June 2026 as we install poles, conduit and lights; the work area is outlined in the map below.
