The City of Kingston has a snowplow that needs a name!
Our Public Works department wants your help to come up with the most imaginative snowplow names possible. Last year's campaign introduced us to Murney Plower - will your name be chosen this year?
Submit your family-friendly, plowing-related and Kingston-specific name below between Oct. 28 and Nov. 12. Following the submission period,a short list of names will be selected and community members will vote for the name they like the best.
The winning submission will appear on a City plow – so bring us your most creative names and you could see it driving around Kingston this winter! The person who submits the winning name will also get an opportunity to see their newly named snowplow up close.
Snowplowing is serious business in Kingston. We work continuously in the winter to plow more than 1,800km of road lanes and 600km of sidewalks. Learn more about winter maintenance at CityofKingston.ca/Snow.
