We want your feedback on the addition of pollinator gardens and naturalized lawns to the Property Standards By-Law.

City Council recently passed a motion to allow the implementation of pollinator gardens on private properties. As City staff work to amend the Property Standards By-Law accordingly, we are asking community members to answer a short survey on the subject.

The current Property Standards By-Law can be reviewed here (see section 4.42 for the parts applicable to yards and lawns). The motions for Permitting Pollinator Gardens and No Mow May are included in the minutes from the Dec. 20 and Feb. 7 council meetings.

Information gathered from this survey will be considered when updating the by-Law and creating the pollinator garden public education campaign.
