Project Update

Over the past few months, we have been working to advance the designs for the new Purdy’s Mill Park.

When we introduced the project earlier this year, we heard overwhelmingly that the community’s priority was to create better connections as a pathway system between the existing neighbourhood, the park, and the stormwater pond site. We are pleased to share that work is now underway to make this feedback a reality.

Although site access and permitting requirements have taken time, much of the necessary regulatory work is now complete, and the conceptual design for the park and pathway system is nearing completion. The conceptual plans will be shared in the new year, along with details about the next step in the consultation process.

Construction of the park is still anticipated to begin in 2027.
