Reddendale Stormwater Improvements - Infrastructure Improvements
Upgrades are planned in the Reddendale area to improve stormwater capacity, reduce ponding and flooding and extend existing infrastructure life. Additional drainage improvements on Lakeshore Boulevard will help reduce ponding and flooding.

Planned improvements
Phase 1
- A new storm sewer and outfall on Crerar Boulevard from Crescent Drive to Lake Ontario, alleviating capacity pressure from the existing storm sewer outfall
- Installation is being coordinated with Utilities Kingston as part of the sanitary force main replacement and sewer pumping station upgrades. Learn more on the Utilities Kingston project page.
- Relining of the existing storm sewer outfall through Crerar Park for increased service life.
- Select culvert replacement and upsizing on the lower portion of Montgomery Boulevard.
- Restoration and reinstatement of disturbed boulevards and medians.
- Asphalt resurfacing of Crerar Boulevard.
Phase 2
- A new storm system connection between the existing box culvert crossing Front Road, and the existing storm sewer on Lakeshore Boulevard. This connection will improve the existing systems' overall hydraulic capacity and reduce ponding.
- A new large diameter storm sewer bypass system on Lakeshore Boulevard from Front Road to the existing outfall, designed to capture upstream ponding during large storm events and release it safely near the outfall, reducing historic issues with water flowing overland and flooding backyards.
