Roadside Guide Rail Installation - Infrastructure Improvements

The City is improving roadside guide rails at select locations across the municipality to enhance barrier performance around bridges, culverts, and other roadside hazards. This work will help reduce the severity of collisions and provide safer travel conditions for residents and visitors.

Planned improvements

  • Removal of existing guide rail and replacement with steel beam guide rail
  • Wildlife fencing at structure 003 on Princess Street and structure 051 on Perth Road (see above maps)

Construction impacts

Short-duration shoulder work and possible lane reductions will occur at each guide rail improvement location.
