Win-drow Hero

My neigbhour is retired. I'm in my 30's.

He regularly takes care of the windrow at the bottom of my drive. Whether I'm out of town or not.

He never tells me - but I know it's him.

I've also seen him help other neighbours from time to time,, including one whose spouse is deployed.

I'm happy to discuss further but don't want to share further details for [his] privacy reason.

But he's our windrow hero!

Win-drow Hero (By Gavin Cosgrove - grateful neighbour; lyrics heavily borrowed from Foreigner)

Standing in the snow, with his head hung low
Couldn't get a clear path, it was a snow covered road
Heard the roar of the snow, he could picture the winter scene
Put his eye to the window, then like a distant beam
He saw one snowplow, its snow blew him away
He saw snow in his eyes, and on his neighbour’s drive, and the very next day

Bought a beat up six horsepower Snow Blower, at the Canadian Tire store
Didn't know how use it, but he knew for sure
That one Blower, felt good in his hands
Didn't take long, to understand
Just one Blower, slung way down low
Was a one way snow removal ticket, only one way to go
So he started plowin', ain't never gonna stop
Gotta keep on plowin', someday gonna make the windrows stop

And be a Win-drow hero, got snow in his eyes
He's a Win-drow hero
He took one Snow Blower (windrow hero, snow in his eyes)
Win-drow hero, (snow in his eyes) he'll come alive tonight [and in the morning; and mid-day]

In a town with a Royal name, in a heavy snow downpour
Thought he passed his own shadow, by his neighbour’s garage door
Like a trip through the past, to that day in the snow
And that one Snow Blower, made his neighbours lives change
Now he needs to keep on plowin', he just can't stop
Gotta keep on plowing', that gentle neighbour has got to stay on top

And be a Win-drow hero, got snow in his eyes
He's a Win-drow hero, got snow in his eyes
Yeah, Win-drow hero, snow in his eyes
With that one Snow Blower (snow in his eyes)
He'll come alive, come alive tonight, woah

Yeah, he's gotta keep on plowin', just can't stop
Gotta keep on plowin', that gentleman has got to stay on top

And be a Win-Drow hero, got snow in his eyes
He's a Win-drow hero, got snow in his eyes
(Just one Snow Blower) Win-drow hero, got snow in his eyes
How he's just a Win-drow hero, aah aah aah
Snow Plow (snowflakes) hero, (snowflakes, snowflakes) Win-drow hero, (snowflakes, snowflakes)
He's got snow in his eyes, snow in his eyes
