It's important to us that everyone has a positive experience using Get Involved Kingston! We know technical issues can be frustrating and create a barrier to participation. Fortunately, many issues can be fixed easily!
Common technical issues
If you are experiencing any technical difficulties with Get Involved Kingston, like a page not loading or returning you to the login or home page, please try one of the following solutions.
- Switch the internet browser you are using. The most recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge are recommended (please check to ensure you have the most recent version of your browser). Internet Explorer is not supported.
- Clear your browser cache.
- Refresh the page you are on.
- Open a private or incognito window to login to the platform.
- Try a different device. For example, if you are using a phone, switch to a tablet or computer if you have access to one.
- Make sure you're using the correct combination of login and password for this site. We offer various portals to apply for different programs and services. Each portal is independent, including Get Involved, so you will need to create a separate account and password for each one.
Advanced technical issues
If these solutions do not work for you or you have a problem with the site that isn't listed above please try one of the following.
- Email EngagementHQ at support@engagementhq.com. Get Involved Kingston is hosted with our engagement partner, EngagementHQ. They will be able to resolve most technical issues specific to the platform, but not any technical issues related to your computer, internet connection or browser.
- Submit a service request through our MyKingston portal. City staff aim to respond within two business days.
- Emailing contactus@cityofkingston.ca and put Get Involved Kingston in your subject line.
- Phoning 613-546-0000 from Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to submit a service request to Communications & Public Engagement.
When reaching out for help with Get Involved Kingston, please try to include the following information in your service request to us:
- The URL for the page you are having problems accessing. Screenshots are very helpful!
- Details about what you were trying to do, and why it was difficult or impossible to do it.
- Details about your computer and software. If you don't know, maybe a friend, relative, or colleague can help you. If not, you can skip this part.
User name, email address and password updates
If you would like to update your user name or email address, please let us know by submitting a service request. Unfortunately, we are unable to reset your password. Please email EngagementHQ at support@engagementhq.com for help with your password.
Alternate ways to offer input
If you would prefer not to use Get Involved Kingston, here are ways to contribute.
- Email contactus@cityofkingston.ca and put Get Involved Kingston in your subject line along with the input you would like offer on a project.
- Phone 613-546-0000 from Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to submit a service request to Communications & Public Engagement or to complete a survey over the phone.
- Receive surveys by email. Submit a service request to be added to our email list and you will receive a copy of surveys into your inbox that can you email back to us or drop off at at City recreation facility.
