In 2019, the City applied for funding as part of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure plan. The funding was approved in August 2020 and will directly support this project. While the pandemic has presented unprecedented challenges, we need to move forward with projects like this to ensure we have sustainable transit infrastructure post-pandemic.
