Wright Crescent Transportation Improvements

Roadway repairs, along with pedestrian safety and access improvements and traffic calming features are planned for Wright Crescent and Palace Road in spring 2026.

The pedestrian improvements will improve accessibility and safety along Wright Crescent and Palace Road by improving existing conditions and slowing traffic.

Planned improvements:

• A new concrete sidewalk along the inside of Wright Crescent, replacing the existing asphalt sidewalk.
• Construction of curb bulb-outs along Wright Crescent providing traffic calming and delineating areas for on-street parking.
• Narrowing of road lane widths along Palace Road to further support traffic calming.
• Installation of new curbs and storm sewer infrastructure modifications to improve roadway drainage
• Watermain replacement along the north leg of Wright Crescent
• Repaving the entire length of Wright Crescent
• Construction of a new multi-use path between Wright Crescent and Sir John A. MacDonald Boulevard.
• Upgrading sidewalk para-ramps to current standards at both Wright Crescent and Palace Road intersections

Construction Impacts

• Access: Intermittent road and lane closures will occur during construction
• Parking: On-street parking may be reduced or not available during portions of construction.
