A decorative image showing sidewalk users of all ages and abilities.

A new sidewalk is planned along Wise Street from Megan's Street to Woodbine Road. This project will help fill a gap in the City’s current sidewalk network and is a project identified in our Active Transportation Master Plan (ATMP) and Five-Year Implementation Plan (ATIP).

As part of the design process, we are sharing information with community members on the planned location of the sidewalk and asking for input on where benches and rest areas could be located along the street. Rest areas are being considered along both existing sidewalk routes and new ones. Suggestions received will be considered for the final sidewalk design.

The map below highlights the extent of the sidewalk work planned as part of this project. The sidewalk is planned along the south and west side of Wise Street from Megan's Street to Woodbine Road.Map showing proposed sidewalk along the south side of Wise Street between Megan’s Street and Woodbine Road. A pop out shows additional details such as an illustration of concrete sidewalk with curb adjacent to the roadway. A second pop out shows additional details such as illustration of concrete sidewalk adjacent to the roadside ditch.
