SarahKalmost 2 years agoPedestrian Crossing at Lisa St/Rosanna Ave and Princess.
Rosanna Ave leads into a large subdivision with many children who attend Holy Cross, Mother Teresa, and Lancaster on the other side of Princess. These kids often cross at this intersection, past 2 lanes of fast moving traffic + a turning lanr, especially between 7-9am and 2-4pm during rush hour. A pedestrian crossing similar to the one outside Holy Cross on Woodbine could help prevent a tragic accident. With the boom of subdivisions North of Princess in the west end, it is becoming more and more necessary to make this area of the west end more pedestrian friendly and less car-centric.

Consider adding speed cameras around schools and retirement residences. This could be a source of revenue for the city and increase the safety, walkability and enjoyability of the city. A significant number of people like to cut-through residential areas at high speed, putting elders and kids at risk. Disincentives to speed at expense of others could also reduce load on emergency services from accidents and injuries.

Behind bayridge public school there are tennis courts and a baseball feild. Every year in the winter and spring children and parents get very injured, myself included. Slipping on the ice, children falling, parents getting very injured. Since they are already redoing the tennis courts as we speak, I have had this idea that they should put in a sidewalk between the tennis courts and baseball field right to the school to provide safety for the parents and children. Thank you!

Use of credit/debit cards instead of coins. Monthly/weekly passes are not useful for everyone.
