On June 29, 2022, Kingston City Council directed staff to draft a by-law that would help deter certain types of nuisance behaviours in the community. The draft of the Community Standards By-Law includes:
Odours
Construction Materials and Construction Dust
Idling
Feeding of Wildlife
Textile Collection Sites & Flyers
Safe Use of Public Spaces
Damage to City Property
We are collecting feedback and input from community groups, partner organizations, businesses, and residents to ensure the Community Standards By-Law is meeting the needs of our community. Feedback will be considered as staff further refine the by-law.
