Great minds don't think alike - they think together!

Your Mayor and City Council have established the Strategic Plan for the City of Kingston for 2023-2026.

The pillars of the plan are:

  • Support Housing Affordability
  • Lead Environmental Stewardship and Climate Action
  • Build an Active and Connected Community
  • Foster a Caring and Inclusive Community
  • Drive Inclusive Economic Growth

See the full report to learn more. Visit the Strategic Plan webpage in the coming months as we share progress updates on the Strategic Plan.

As one of Ontario's fastest-growing municipalities (demonstrated by an impressive 7% growth in the 2021 census), 132,485 people call the City of Kingston home. With a stable and diversified economy that includes global corporations, innovative startups and all levels of government, Kingston's high quality of life offers access to world-class education and research institutions, advanced healthcare facilities, and vibrant entertainment and tourism activities. Each member of the community has a unique perspective on what they value most about living here, which makes Kingston recognized as a leading, livable and inclusive city.

As the Mayor and members of Council prepare the 2023-2026 Strategic Priorities, they need to hear from you!

  • Complete a short survey to tell Council what you value most about Kingston now and what we should be known for four years from now.
  • Join any of the pop-up engagement sessions happening during February. Watch the Key Dates for times and locations.
  • Drop off your priority ideas at any community centre or City Hall. See the Feb. 16 edition of Kingston This Week for more information.
  • Join the priority setting sessions in March 2023. See the Key Date for times and locations.
