The existing baseball diamond in the southwest corner of Cricket Field is scheduled to be renovated this fall. It will be designed for children aged 13 and under. There will be a new backstop, fencing, covered player’s benches and bleachers.
Kingston was awarded the 2024 Little League Canada national championship tournament and this site was selected as the venue. Beyond the tournament use, the new diamond will accommodate regular league play.

Outfield improvements and foul ball posts
Covered player's benches and bleachers

The City is seeking feedback on the proposed conceptual design for the baseball diamond renovation at Cricket Field. This survey will take approximately 3 minutes to complete. Feedback will be summarized in a public engagement reporting out document and may be considered in the refined designs.
All information received will be compiled
and considered by staff for use under the purposes of this site. Information
will be collected and used in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and other relevant privacy
legislation. All comments made on this site are available to the public
and may form part of public records.
