What is the purpose of this survey?
The goal of this survey is to better understand your needs and experiences with MyKingston. Your input will provide insights into how we can enhance the portal and will be considered as we make our online platforms more effective and user-friendly for everyone.
What questions will you ask me during the survey?
The survey will focus on your overall experience using MyKingston, including what might encourage you to use our portal. We will also ask for your feedback and suggestions so that we can improve your experience and how we deliver our online services.
How will my feedback be used?
Your responses and feedback will be analyzed to identify areas for improvement and guide the development of new features or updates in MyKingston to improve your experience.
Who can participate in the survey?
The survey is open to all residents! No experience is necessary! We’re looking for a diverse group of participants, with varied experience, tell us what you like, what you don’t like and share any ideas for helping us deliver valuable online services to you.
Can I skip questions?
We encourage you to answer all questions to provide a complete picture of your experience, you may skip questions that you do not feel comfortable answering.
Can I provide additional feedback beyond the survey questions?
Yes, there is a section at the end of the survey where you can provide any additional comments. Also, you can share your ideas under the "Ideas" tab. You can share screenshots, links to other portals or vote on other ideas that have been submitted.
How can I participate?
How often will I be asked to take this survey?
This survey is part of our ongoing efforts to improve the user experience with MyKingston. If you volunteer for future user testing, you may be invited to participate again once we have implemented improvements.
Can I see the results of the survey?
While individual responses are confidential, we may share an overview of key findings and how they will be applied to improve MyKingston.

What is user testing?
User testing is a process where real people evaluate the interface and function of a new website, app, product, or service. The purpose of the process is to test how well the site will work.
How can I participate in the future user testing?
If you're interested in participating, you can sign up to volunteer. We’ll contact you once we’ve implemented improvements and are ready to start the testing phase.
When will the user testing take place?
The testing will take place after we have implemented improvements from the survey feedback. We’ll reach out to volunteers with more information on the schedule closer to that time.
What is involved in user testing?
As a tester, you will participate in an online session with a moderator and an observer from the design team. The user testing will focus on evaluating improvements we have made to MyKingston based on the feedback from the survey. You might be asked to perform certain tasks on the portal and share your experience.
After you’ve had a chance to test the improved prototype, we’ll ask you questions to better understand your overall opinion of the portal.
We will provide more details once the testing plan is finalized.
Do I need any technical skills to participate in user testing?
No, you don’t need any special technical skills or experience. The goal is to gather feedback from everyday users of MyKingston to ensure that the portal works well for everyone.
How will I know if I’ve been selected for user testing?
If you volunteer, we will contact you with further instructions if you are selected to participate in the user testing phase.
