The Neighbourhood Activation Fund was launched as a pilot project in spring 2023. Its goal is to support neighbourhood events and programs that build strong community relationships and fill gaps in local programming. Funding is provided in-kind to offset eligible event costs, such as insurance or the cost of facility booking.The Fund covers three types of events:
Street-level events (block parties) - up to $500 in funding
Community-led neighbourhood events – up to $1,500 in funding

The Fund focuses on fostering vibrant, connected neighbourhoods through diverse and innovative events. Applications are evaluated based on their potential community impact, inclusivity and sustainability.Please note recipients are asked to complete and submit a short survey to the Cityafter their event.
