Project update - Aug. 26, 2026

In preparation for the start of the school year, our contracting partner is working to finish as much work near the schools on Norman Rogers Drive as possible; however, construction on Norman Rogers Drive is expected to continue for the first few weeks of September.

Closures are expected from Van Order Drive to Byron Crescent. Through traffic will not be permitted except for emergency vehicles and school buses. Local residents can ask the attendant for access, and they will provide instructions for safe navigation in the work zone.

The general construction schedule is expected to proceed as follows:

August 26-27: Curb and sidewalk installation from Roden Street to Byron Crescent (north)

August 28: Paving from Byron Crescent (south) to Mulcaster Street

August 31 - September 1: Driveway restoration and signage installation from Byron Crescent (south) to Byron Crescent (north)

September 2-4 - Start of the school year: Curb and sidewalk installation from Byron Crescent (north) to Van Order Drive. Through traffic will not be permitted for this closure. Parents are encouraged to use the church parking lot at 200 Norman Rogers Drive for pick-up and drop-off, or to loop around using Byron Crescent and approach the school from the north.

September 7-11

  • Curb and sidewalk installation from Byron Crescent (north) to Van Order Drive
  • Paving base asphalt from Mulcaster Street to Van Order Drive

September 14-15: Surface paving for full length of Norman Rogers Drive and installation of speed cushions

September 16-24: Site restoration and cleanup

Please note that all dates are subject to change based on weather conditions and construction progress.
