Project update - Sept. 9, 2026

To assist with the transition into the school year, our contracting partner will be delaying their closure between Van Order Drive and Mulcaster Street until further restoration work is completed for the rest of Norman Rogers Drive. Full closure of Norman Rogers Drive is expected to begin as early as Sept. 14, between Mulcaster Street and Van Order Drive.

The general construction schedule is expected to proceed as follows:

• Sept. 8-11
  • No full closures on Norman Rogers Drive.
  • Crews will be completing restoration work and sign installation south of Mulcaster Street.
  • The road will be reduced to one lane where crews are working, with personnel on site to direct traffic.
• Sept. 14-18
  • Curb and sidewalk installation from Mulcaster Street to Van Order Drive.
  • Full closure between Mulcaster Street and Van Order Drive with access for local traffic only.
• Sept. 21-25
  • Paving base asphalt from Mulcaster Street to Van Order Drive.
  • Full closure between Mulcaster Street and Van Order Drive with access for local traffic only.
• Sept. 28-29: Surface Paving for full length of Norman Rogers Drive and installation of speed cushions and raised crossing.
• Sept. 30 - Oct. 9: Site restoration and cleanup.
