Sometimes referred to as Canada’s museum capital, Kingston is home to an incredible 30+ museums, galleries, and historic sites. Several have fascinating online collections, exhibits, and activities that make spending time at home a little easier and a little more educational. https://www.visitkingston.ca/experience-kingstons-museums-at-home/

Use RVs from local dealers to set up temporary housing near KGH for health care workers who don’t want to risk infecting their families.
1 comment3Jacob1957about 3 years agoOffering retirement pension incentives to those over 60 plus, amidst the Covid 19 for employees in the City of Kingston .
We'll start off by asking! How many employee's work within the city who are over 60 which are considered an essential service? My employment with Kingston Transit was for 16 years and Canadian National Railway for 18. I'm retired, my wife of no choice her own due to Covid 19 is layed off at 60. One day recently we out for one of our daily strolls & noticed a transit bus operator, one in particular who l am sure is pushing 70 still employed as a active driver. A little surprising we thought! If we are more vulnerable to Covid 19 over 60 and instead of taking the risk of possibly having a tremendous burden of sick leave our Governing Essential Services, which of course is my concern straining even more financially, our Federal, provincial & local Municipal governments. The point being, we must all work together and "not" put even more strain on our system in all facets, when possibly we could introduce new measures such as retirement from pension benefits O.M.E.R.s. which the active City Of Kingston employees are contributing to. Thank you for the opportunity to share. Please Stay Safe, Stay Healthy & lets work together to stay economically viable .. Jacob Visser
