VIA Rail service survey

Let’s keep our region moving - more options in passenger rail benefits individuals, communities and businesses and supports resilient economies. Recently Kingston city council passed a motion to ask that VIA Rail maintain its existing train service through Eastern Ontario and to work with the city and other municipal partners to gather data to support the introduction on a new late-night train from Toronto to Kingston.

The city is partnering with the Port Hope, Cobourg, Greater Napanee and Belleville to ask residents what they think about possible additional rail service in their communities – including an eastbound train service from Toronto after 9:00 p.m. To support this effort, we need to understand how people travel and what the demand is.

As part of this research, we have launched a survey to hear directly from you. Please take a moment to provide your opinion.
