Approved by Council in 2017, the City of Kingston's Public Engagement Framework is a comprehensive and inclusive approach aimed at involving citizens in decision-making processes. With a commitment to transparency and collaboration, the framework seeks to foster meaningful dialogue and active participation from all community members.

We are undertaking an evaluation of engagement resources and tools to assess the effectiveness of the public engagement framework. The evaluation aims to gauge the framework's success in achieving its intended objectives and identify areas for improvement.

    Survey

    The City of Kingston is evaluating the Public Engagement Framework and implementation plan. To help us with the evaluation, we need your feedback!

    We want to learn more about your experiences and thoughts about the City's public engagement efforts. Your feedback will be considered during the framework's evaluation. The survey will take about 9 minutes to complete. In appreciation of your participation, all survey participants will have the opportunity to have their names entered into a draw for a City of Kingston prize package, including a $100 pre-paid Visa gift card.

    All individual responses will be kept confidential and treated in accordance with the City of Kingston Privacy Policy. We will use the information you provide to understand your experiences and perceptions about City of Kingston public engagement efforts. The information will not be used for any other purpose. By completing the survey, you will also receive updates on the project by email.

    Notice of Collection: Personal information, as defined by the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), including (but not limited to), names, addresses, contact information, and comments, is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001, and in accordance with MFIPPA and all other relevant privacy legislation. Personal information will be used by City staff to collect feedback on the Public Engagement Framework. Questions regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of this personal information may be directed to the Customer Experience team at 613-546-0000.

  • Sign up for engagement evaluation focus groups

    Thank you for your interest in taking part in a future public engagement evaluation focus group. You do not require a Get Involved Kingston account to participate in a focus group, however we do ask for you to share a phone number and/or email address so that we can contact you with information about the focus groups.

    By signing up to participate, your feedback will be used to help us evaluate and update the engagement resources, tools and framework. You may require an internet connected device to participate and some engagement activities may take up to 3 hours to complete. If you require an accommodation or an internet connected device to participate, please let us know on the application form. Staff will review applications in the fall of 2023 and contact everyone who wishes to participate.
