Third Crossing landscaping and engagement

The Q&A section is now closed. Thank you for your questions and interest in the project. Read the Engagement Summary document.

The new Third Crossing bridge connecting the east shore of the Cataraqui River from the foot of Gore Road to the west shore at John Counter Boulevard will provide additional transportation capacity to support growth and development, improve access for emergency services, and provide a safe and enjoyable multi-use pathway to promote active forms of transportation in the city.

The purpose of this Get Involved Page is to allow residents to view the final landscaping and site restoration works that are planned for the east shore that will restore areas in the project site that were required to support the bridge construction; to gain an understanding of the considerations given to the landscaping and site restoration plans; and to ask questions of the project team. The City will also be engaging residents on adjacent projects to the Third Crossing including MacLean Trail Park, waterfront areas on the west shore connecting down to Belle Park, and other opportunities to explore ideas for cultural heritage interpretation and public art.

Residents can view the final design in the ‘News Feed’ section below and download the pdf slides. If you have questions, please feel free to ask the project team in the 'Q&A' section.
