MyKingston User Experience

Help us make MyKingston better!

MyKingston is our resident portal where we provide easy access to most online services, including options to apply for programs and permits, pay parking tickets, submit service requests, ask questions or provide feedback on municipal services. We want to improve how we deliver online services to the community by receiving your feedback on your experience using MyKingston and inviting you to share your ideas to improve this online service.

Building off results from the 2024 MyKingston survey, the Digital Content team has been working to analyze community feedback and design a refreshed MyKingston experience.

Get Involved: Usability Testing

We now want to understand how users naturally navigate the site and how you expect to find and interact with certain services so we can ensure the portal remains intuitive, effective and aligned with public needs. Findings will inform navigation structure, labeling, messaging, and component design decisions. This research includes:

  • Exploring how users want or expect to find program and membership information in MyKingston
  • Understand user expectations regarding the City’s new address verification requirement
  • Validate the updated user interface by confirming if the design and architecture support a positive and intuitive user experience
