jamesostleralmost 4 years agoPathway Lighting - City Waterfront - Richardson Beach Path
I recommend 'street' lighting (light poles) be installed to go from Emily Street/Richardson Beach to connect up with the new lighting/poles now in-place on Break Water Park & the Gord Downie Pier. There is a very nice walking/running paved path along that section of the waterfront but no lighting in place. This pathway is about 800 metres in length and would create a good 1.8 kms of lighted pathway along our waterfront. Pathway lighting increases safety. Thanks

The privately owned land north of Taylor Kidd, just west of Collins Bay Road had a system of trails, and was very popular with hikers, dog walkers, and mountain bikers. The area was identified in the Central Cataraqui Regional Natural Heritage Study of 2006 as offering significant woodland and wetlands. Unfortunately, in 2014, the owners were advised to restrict access due to liability issues; they expressed interested in selling the land for public use.

1 comment1Fredalmost 4 years agoContribute funds to provincial legal fees to close it and similiarly overfunded subsidized "green" plans
Apparently our previous provincial government had no qualms about how much they were willing to give away; all in the name of "green". Given how much we have to pay "green" electricity providers and how much we have to pay neighbouring states to receive that power, let's wake up and reverse such nonsense. We need to take action now for ourselves and the next generation; let's work with our current government to return some sanity.
