Application form
This application form is for community groups seeking funding through the City of Kingston’s Community Harm Reduction and Public Safety Pilot Project Funding Program. The program supports new community-based pilot projects that reduce harm to the public, contribute to public safety and community well-being, connect people into the homelessness services system, offer some aspect of cost savings, and complement existing services rather than directly duplicate them
Maximum amount per application: $70,000
Application period: July 2 - 22, 2026
Successful applicants notified: August 14, 2026
Projects must be completed by: September 30, 2027
(Completed - that all required receipts have been submitted to the City and all reporting obligations under the agreement have been fully satisfied to the City’s satisfaction.)
An independent panel led by United Way KFL&A will review applications using a standardized scoring matrix to ensure a fair and transparent evaluation process
Applications are open to registered non-profit organizations, registered charities, and volunteer organizations. For-profit organizations are not eligible.
Organizations already receiving City of Kingston funding through other programs may apply but must disclose all existing City funding in their application and clearly explain how this proposal is a new request not covered by any existing funding agreement.
