King St Multi-Use Pathway
Consultation has concluded
The pathway design has been finalized and will be installed in 2020.
As part of the City’s ongoing efforts to make it easier to get around Kingston through active modes of transportation, a new multi-use pathway is being developed along the north and south side of King St. from Trailhead to Portsmouth Ave. The multi-use path provides a buffered option for pedestrians and cyclists to travel in and will include a number of rest areas with benches along the route.
The City is also making changes to the intersection of King Street and Portsmouth Avenue to make it easier for residents using the new multi-use pathways to connect with existing cycling facilities. The new MUP will extend slightly north on Portsmouth Ave. to connect with the existing bike lane there.

As part of the design process, we want to know where you would like to have benches located on the path. Suggestions received will be considered before finalizing the design of the multi-use path.
