The City is developing My Neighbourhood, an online tool that uses geo-enabled information to create an interactive map. This map will offer users the ability to search and discover City programs, services, facilities and projects within an area of the City of Kingston. Starting with an address, users will be able to search and access available public information online, specific to a geographic area.

What is the goal of My Neighbourhood?
The My Neighbourhood online tool aims to:
Provide geo-enabled information
Provide a framework to guide the release of future datasets
Simplify the user experience by centralizing data in one place
Integrate with the City of Kingston website and provide links to other relevant City systems and resources
The online tool is built using existing resources. The project team is not seeking feedback on the look and feel of the interface. However, the team would like your input to help:
Determine the priority of future datasets and topics
Capture any additional information you would like to see included
Determine if the proposed name is appropriate
How do I access My Neighbourhood?
The homepage depicted below is a mock up provided for visual reference only for the user test session. During the engagement period, initial steps have been eliminated by pre-selecting an address (see Image 1) and theme (see Image 2).

Once My Neighbourhood launches officially, users will be able to type in any address within the City of Kingston and select a theme of their choice.
In order to complete the survey, the project team invites you to interact with My Neighbourhood within the test session. Once you are in the tool, you are encouraged to explore the functionality in more detail.
