What is the Smart Cities Challenge?
The City of Kingston participated in the Government of Canada’s Smart Cities Challenge. The Challenge encourages communities to submit their ideas for how to improve the lives of residents through innovation, data and connected technology. The City could receive an investment of $10 million to further develop its Smart Kingston Strategy and implement innovations.

Smart Kingston strategy is our vision for improving the quality of life for our
residents by using connected technology to build better connections. As such,
this survey was designed to ask how to improve the lives of residents through
innovation, data and connected technology.
