Purpose

Community input is vital for shaping the Official Plan and Integrated Mobility Plan. These plans aim to reflect the diversity of the community through a shared vision, which is why public participation is at the centre of this process. This survey is a key step as it builds on engagement efforts that began in the summer of 2024 with the launch of the Community Advisory Group application, and continued through the summer and fall with pop-up opportunities at various events and meetings with Indigenous community members. We’re very excited to introduce this survey as an additional opportunity to provide feedback. 

The survey is divided into three sections: 

1. Official Plan – Focuses on the Official Plan and how land will be used in Kingston in the future. 
2. Integrated Mobility Plan – Focuses on the Integrated Mobility Plan and future transportation planning and policies. 
3. Demographic Information – Focuses on demographic information.
   
   

The goal of this survey is to better understand the community’s vision for future land use and transportation planning, as well as how lived experience influences these priorities. Your input will help us shape these two significant plans to meet the needs of our growing community.

Notice of Collection

All information received will be compiled and considered by staff for use under the purposes of this site. Information will be collected and used in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and other relevant privacy legislation. All comments made on this site are available to the public and may form part of public records. 

The City will give written notice in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act to affected persons before granting a request for access to a record created through this survey if it includes personal information that the City has reason to believe might constitute an unjustified invasion of personal privacy.
